Guidelines for Protection of Minors

If you need to apply for, or renew, your background clearance to work with minors

People over 15 need a background clearance to work with minors; and if you transport minors, you need an additional clearance for transportation.

The National Spiritual Assembly has shared two important documents that are periodically revised:

  • Policy for the Protection of Children, Junior Youth, and Youth
  • Guiding Principles and Standards Pertaining to the Protection of Minors

They include significant learning that has taken place at the grassroots over the past seven years. Please discard any previous versions of these documents.
