Regional Bahá’í Council Voting Period is Now Open

Members of Local Spiritual Assemblies are eligible to vote annually for the Regional Bahá’í Council.

The Universal House of Justice, in discussing service on Bahá’í institutions, notes both the “tremendous privilege” and the “responsibility” such service entails. For every Local Spiritual Assembly, “a channel through which the spirit of the Cause flows,” participation in the annual casting of ballots for its respective Regional Bahá’í Council must surely rank among the weightiest of its responsibilities.

The entire committee is very excited about the format this year! The school is virtual again this year, on Zoom.

“Difficult Questions” Addressed by Racial Forum

An audience of more than 50 people participated in a discussion of challenging issues faced by the Bahá’í community. The August 9 Regional Council’s Racial Justice and Unity Forum featured three presenters: Van Gilmer, Sahar Sattarzadeh, and Masud Olufani, in a panel discussion moderated by Gwen Etter-Lewis.

Each presenter selected one of five questions they received ahead of time and shared their personal reflections.
