The Institute for Studies in Global Prosperity (ISGP) is pleased to announce the upcoming offering of its seminar for university graduates and young professionals in North America, to be held at the Louhelen Bahá’í School in Davison, Michigan from July 3 to 14, 2022, as conditions allow.
The Bahá’í children from northeast Ohio organized a celebration of the life of ‘Abdu’l-Bahá to commemorate the centenary of His Ascension. The celebration was held at a local library in the greater Cleveland area. Around 30 people attended — around half were children and youth.
When guests arrived some of the children passed out copies of a talk that Abdu’l-Bahá gave while in Cleveland in 1912. They also passed out chocolate coins to remember how ‘Abdu’l-Bahá always had sweets & coins to give to children.
Robert Turner, the first Black American Bahá’í and a soul noted by Shoghi Effendi as a Disciple of ‘Abdu’l-Bahá and Herald of the Covenant, is being honored on this commemorative year. Members of Local Spiritual Assemblies are eligible to vote annually for the Regional Bahá’í Council.
The Universal House of Justice, in discussing service on Bahá’í institutions, notes both the “tremendous privilege” and the “responsibility” such service entails. For every Local Spiritual Assembly, “a channel through which the spirit of the Cause flows,” participation in the annual casting of ballots for its respective Regional Bahá’í Council must surely rank among the weightiest of its responsibilities.
Harrison Hill, a neighborhood in Fort Wayne, hosts a children’s festival to support local community-building efforts.
More than 100 children and parents attended for games, arts and crafts, face painting, storytelling, karaoke, and food trucks.
It was organized by neighborhood residents.
